Junior Business Analyst
Job Overview
A Junior Business Analyst is an entry-level position in a company’s business intelligence team. They are responsible for collecting data, analyzing business processes, identifying business problems and coming up with solutions to improve the company’s processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Analyze business data to identify patterns, trends, and insights
Collect data from internal systems, external sources, and other relevant sources
Use statistical techniques to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions
Business Process Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders from different departments to identify business problems and inefficiencies in business processes
Document current business processes and identify areas for improvement
Suggest enhancements and improvements to optimize business processes
Reporting and Presentation
Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders
Determine the best mode of presentation to effectively convey data and insights to stakeholders
Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of data and reports
Project Management
Assist senior business analysts in managing projects related to business intelligence
Support project management tasks such as meeting scheduling, action item follow-up, and status/reporting updates
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau or PowerBIBasic knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
